What we collect, what we don't.
Panorix doesn't upload your screenshots anywhere. All processing happens locally in your browser.
What Panorix is
Panorix is a Chrome extension for capturing panoramic and full-page screenshots. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (or don't collect) and how the extension works.
What we don't collect
Panorix does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
- No browsing history is collected or tracked.
- No screenshots or images are uploaded to any server.
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking is implemented.
- No cookies are set by the extension.
- No user accounts or registration are required.
How it works
All screenshot capture and image stitching happens entirely within your browser using the Chrome `tabs.captureVisibleTab` API and HTML Canvas. Captured frames are temporarily stored in `chrome.storage.local` during the stitching process and are cleared immediately after use. No data ever leaves your device.
What permissions we ask for
Panorix requests the following Chrome permissions:
- activeTab — To capture a screenshot of the currently active tab.
- scripting — To inject the scroll-capture script into the active tab.
- storage — To temporarily store captured frames during stitching.
- downloads — To save the final stitched image to your computer.
No third-party tools
Panorix does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs. There are no ads, no tracking pixels, and no external network requests.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
